Room by Room Description
The old farmhouse Kitchen has a Rayburn nestling in its
inglenook (this is not normally lit in the summer unless its
unseasonably cold) and is fully fitted with modern units and appliances.
There is cooker, fridge, dishwasher, Kenwood chef and all the pans and
cooking equipment you might possibly need to prepare the most elaborate
meals and, if you just want to bung something in the microwave - there's
one of those too! We provide all cleaning materials including
dishwasher powder
The Utility Room doubles as an efficient drying room
with plenty of hanging space, dehumidifier and floor-level heater. There
is also a washing machine, tumble dryer and fridge/freezer.
Leading off the utility room is a downstairs toilet and basin and a
separate electric shower room.
The Dining Room has a large oak table and eight chairs and two
old dressers complete with two full dinner services, glasses etc. and a
bottle of wine to welcome you to Tal y Waen
The atmospheric Lounge has a huge inglenook fireplace, a sofa
and six other chairs. The bookshelves bulge with every sort of
book to snuggle up with next to the fire including our comprehensive
library of books on mountaineering and Wales. There's a colour T.V.
and a video recorder and a music system to play CDs and tapes.
The bathroom has a bath, toilet and basin opposite a small
bedroom sleeping two in a bunk bed. There's another bedroom
sleeping four in two bunk beds and a double bedroom.
All beds have bedside lights and come with all bedding (continental
quilts and two pillows each) ready made up. There are plenty of spare
blankets and hot water bottles should you feel chilly and the rooms have
clock radios and hair dryers. We also provide towels.
The house has it's own
front garden and patio out the back
with table and chairs for enjoying 'al fresco' meals. There is
plenty of parking either in front of the house or in our car park
out the back
