Approach
The cottage is approached by a good road. The nearest bus stop is a
mile away down a steep road
Entrance
Car parking is 10 metres from front door
with a 30 cm step up to front pedestrian gate (80cm wide) and concrete and slate
path (95cm wide) to front door with 13cm step up to front door ( 79 cm wide).
There is an overhanging branch some 175 cm above the path. The path is lit at
night. Back Door to garden has 7 cm step
Internal Circulation
Doorways are
61-76 cm wide and there is a 5cm step between the kitchen and dining room and
between the sitting room and kitchen and therefore approach to utility
room/downstairs toilet and shower. Access through kitchen to backdoor, utility
room and dining room is 66cm wide. Sitting room is carpeted as are stairs and
upstairs. Kitchen, dining room and utility have hard flooring
Toilets/Shower
There is a downstairs toilet, basin and shower with doors 68cm wide and a step
up to them. Upstairs bathroom has bath with hand-held shower
Stairs
There are 11
stairs with 22cm risers and 26cm treads with handrail. All bedrooms are upstairs
and two have only bunk beds
Seating
Most seating is moveable
Controls
Most
switches and power points are between 900 and 1200cm from floor There is a low
level oven. Raeburn hotplates have to be lifted up. Remote controls for TV,
Video DVD and Music system
Bedding
Quilts and pillows are non-feather

There are heat and smoke detectors with audible alarms

dogs are welcome
Telephones
There is reception for all mobile phone networks in
the property although the thick stone walls make it variable throughout the
property
Gardens
The gardens are multi-level with uneven stone steps
